Uzbekistan Airways has been recognized as one of the world’s best operators of Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. In 2017, Uzbekistan Airways achieved one of the best results worldwide among Boeing 787 Dreamliner operators, ensuring 100 percent safety and flight schedule reliability for this type of aircraft. In recognition of its successful and accident-free operation of the Dreamliner, the company received an award from Boeing.
Today, the airline successfully operates Dreamliner flights to Dubai, Delhi, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Seoul, Frankfurt, Moscow, Kuala Lumpur, and New York. On July 27, 2017, Uzbekistan Airways made history by operating its first direct Dreamliner flight on the Tashkent–New York–Tashkent route.
Over the years, numerous major projects have been implemented across the industry. Airport ground infrastructure has been modernized, the aircraft fleet has been completely renewed, and new aircraft types have been introduced. New routes have been launched, while new terminals and airport facilities with high passenger capacity have been constructed and advanced technologies implemented.
“Every passenger matters to us!”—this motto remains highly relevant to the activities of the company’s catering service, which provides delicious meals on board its aircraft. Each year, increasingly high standards are imposed on the quality of in-flight catering, and the team continuously works to improve meal quality, food preparation processes, and menus.
In the international aviation services market, an increasing number of customers are seeking cooperation with the Uzbek airline in the field of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO). Thanks to its own aircraft repair facilities, the national carrier is able to independently and efficiently maintain the airworthiness of its aircraft and provide high-quality MRO services to foreign airlines.
Uzbekistan Airways Technics, which performs all types of maintenance, repair, and overhaul for various aircraft models, including the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, has established a Composite Materials Repair Center. This has opened up significant opportunities for the further development of the company’s capabilities in repairing modern aircraft.
The airline has also established its own facilities for training, education, and professional development of its personnel. The Training Center has a highly qualified teaching staff and a simulator center equipped with various types of simulators, including full-flight simulators for the Airbus A320 and Boeing 767. This enables the company to offer flight crew training services to foreign airlines.
The national carrier’s ambitious plans, among the largest in scale in the CIS region, demonstrate the dynamic development and progress of Uzbekistan’s civil aviation industry.
As before, the airline’s highest priority will remain ensuring the safety and security of flights and passengers while staying true to its core principles: stability, reliability, and comfort.
