Since the establishment of the enterprise in 1947, the development of the amber industry in Russia effectively began. The enterprise develops the Primorskoye deposit in the Kaliningrad Region, near the Yantarny Urban Locality, extracting approximately 600 tons of the “sun stone” annually. From the extracted amber, the combine’s artists and stone cutters create both serial and exclusive jewelry, souvenirs, and accessories. Alongside classical approaches, craftsmen employ modern processing technologies. Specialists can alter the color of amber and even cut it like a diamond. The number of manufactured items reaches 170,000 per year. Since 2014, the combine has been developing within the structure of the Rostec State Corporation. During this time, the enterprise’s territory has been fully restored, amber extraction has doubled, the jewelry production has been modernized, and new brand stores have been opened. At the end of 2025, the Amber Combine became part of the financial holding structure of the “RT-Finance” Corporation.
